Mixed Doubles Jamboree Junior Curlers Sat January 13…

Added to the site on January 14, 2018

Junior curlers from the Highlander Curling Club (St. Andrews), Chedabucto Curling Club (Boylston) and Bluenose Curling Club (New Glasgow) gathered at the Highlander CC’s rink on Saturday, January 13, to participate in the Highlander Curling Club Mixed Doubles Jamboree. Under the guidance of Brian Nicholson (Highlander CC), Teagan Lombardo (Chedabucto CC) and Crystal Cameron (Bluenose CC), the junior curlers played games of mixed doubles with only two curlers per team thereby giving the juniors opportunities to apply their curling skills. Nicholson, Lombardo and Cameron are looking forward to more interaction between junior curlers at future events.

(Back row, left to right) Hanna Manthorne (Chedabucto), David Nicholson (Highlander),  Joel Lazzuri (Highlander), Aidan Halloran (Chedabucto), Nathaniel Smith (Highlander), Tristan Kieley (Chedabucto), Benjamin Hingley (Bluenose), Brooklyn Jordan (Chedabucto), Victoria Grady (Chedabucto) (Front row, left) Conrad Robertson (Bluenose) and Elinor Ryves (Chedabucto)

Welcome social members….

Added to the site on January 13, 2018

Now that we are into the new year, the Edgar Sceles Memorial Bonspiel being next weekend on January 19/20 and the rink’s renovations/expansion project nearly its completion, I want to acknowledge, on behalf of all Chedabucto Curling Club members, my sincere appreciation to those folks who have become Social members of the CCC.

A Social membership gives those folks full access to come out for the Edgar Sceles Memorial Bonspiel and all other events at the Club (league curling included). However, as Social members, should they wish to curl they must become regular members, pay spare fees or pay the registration fees as set for bonspiels.

Should you know of individuals who would like to become a social member, all are welcome to apply with the annual registration for a Social membership fee being only $30.00 (tax incl.)

Welcome to the following Chedabucto Curling Club Social members thus far for 2017-2018: Philip Connolly, Mia Decoff, Miles MacDonald, Marie MacMaster, Cindy Malcolm, Mike McLean, Diane Tulk and Max Tulk.

Best regards to all,

Ray

Chedabucto Curling Club 50/50 tickets now available…

Added to the site on January 11, 2018

The Chedabucto Curling Club’s 50/50 tickets are now available. Tickets, at $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00, can be purchased from Club members, from Club Juniors or by stopping by the curling rink during its hours of operation. (The tickets are currently in a plastic container in the lounge and also with Club members.)

As has been done in previous years, if you want to purchase tickets and then enter each subsequent draw, simply give me your money and I’ll enter your tickets in appropriate future draws. The first draw from these tickets will be at the Edgar Sceles Memorial Bonspiel and that selection will be at the bonspiel’s awards closing ceremony on Saturday, January 20.

Best wishes.

Ray
