All of the curling rink’s construction is done but the Chedabucto Curling Club (CCC) still owes $20,348.60 to the Royal Bank’s renovation/expansion loan. This appeal is your opportunity, if you have not contributed, to please assist the CCC via your financial generosity. (Profits from last weekend’s BBQ, duckie race and stick pick go entirely towards the CCC’s annual operational costs.)
By the end of August, Treasurer Holly and I will be finalizing the list of donors’ names and completing the five categories of donations acknowledgements as they will appear on the 4’x8′ donation board to be affixed to the wall where people enter the CCC lounge — with all donations, regardless of the amounts — being indicated. It would be sincerely helpful and truly appreciated if you have yet to make a donation, for you to please make that contribution towards the construction’s approximately $220,000.00 cost. If you already have given — thank you — but you may add more to that amount. (The CCC mailing address: PO Box 107, Boylston B0H 1G0.)
I have attached the tentative design of the donors’ board that is being constructed by Waterline Graphix. You will note that all donations — regardless of their amounts — will be displayed as the CCC’s way of acknowledging your welcomed financial support. Your name will appear in one of the five specific categories; the CCC will not be indicating the exact amount donated, just its general financial compartment.

Our Ducky Race & Chicken BBQ multiple events at our curling rink happened because of volunteers pitching in with their time. Doing what was done today just does not happen; it takes much time, effort and literally sweat to make it successful. I will not attempt to list the many who contributed — but I can envision you at your task(s). THANK YOU!

Here is the poster for the Duckie Race and Chicken BBQ happening on Sunday Aug. 5th from 1-4pm.
At the June 25 executive meeting it was moved and approved that Club members would have first bids via a silent auction for one or more of the the six green-top round tables, four counter-stools or one glass-front cabinet — all now surplus since the Club has purchased six new light-weight completely folding round tables and has no need for the green tables, bar stools nor the cabinet; all be sold to the highest bidder(s).
Four tables are 39 inches in diameter and the other 2 tables are 47 inches in diameter. The home-made cabinet is 41 inches high, with 4 shelves at 11 inches x 11 inches. I forgot to measure the stools; they being the ones that used to be next to the bar and have been replaced by nice looking bar chairs.
I will be receiving bids until July 23 (our next executive meeting date) and then what is not sold via Club membership will be decided upon by the executive. If you want to inspect any of the attached items contact Maurice, me or any other executive member since we all have keys to the Club. I am away this Friday, the 6th, until July 13 therefore Maurice or another executive member will be your inspection person during that period. Bids may be sent to me for inclusion within the July 23 agenda.
