Our Memorial Bonspiel, which happened this past weekend, was one of our more successful bonspiels in the past few years with 12 teams enjoying a great weekend of 4 end curling. Lots of new curlers out there who hopefully will be back in the new season. Thanks go out to our list of sponsors who donated great prizes and to the Days Gone By who provided us with a great supper time meal of Lasagna/Shepard’s Pie and rolls. Also thanks to all who donated food over the 2 days of curling and also the ice, bar and kitchen helpers. In the end Team Shauna Brymer won with the most points. With this Memorial Bonspiel being named for 2018 after Gordon Pyle, who recently had passed away, it was fitting that his niece Shauna would win. In 2nd place also with 4 wins was Team Luddington. Third place was Team Nahrebecky (Gordon’s daughter). We also honoured our 25 year recipient. This year it was Blair Brymer. Our Hog Line winner was Hannah Long winning a hog cutting board made by Gordon Pyle. The final 50/50 draw winner was announced and former member Peter Simpson won. We also presented Brooklyn Jordan with a broom for being the most improved Junior player. The broom was donated by Donalda Mattie.
