A good day today working with the Three-times Nova Scotia Stick Curling Champions in two workshops at the Chedabucto Curling Club. Attached is a group photo of the afternoon session’s curlers.
Three-times Nova Scotia Stick-Delivery Curling Champions, Bill Spinney and Ron Crowe, from the Truro Curling Club, gave two curling workshops at Boylston’s Chedabucto Curling Club about the techniques for using a delivery stick instead of the traditional drop-and-slide delivery method. As Spinney and Crowe demonstrated, there is no need to permit physical realities to prevent the enjoyment of curling. Fifteen curlers from Chedabucto Curling Club were given stick-delivery instructions on November 17 to enable them to choose which delivery method to use to enhance their continuation of enjoyment in curling. Participating in the afternoon workshop were (left-right) Bill Spinney, Jack Leonard, Lynda MacIntosh, Ray Bates, Nancy O’Regan, Lee Leonard, Basil Mattie, Betty Bates, Phil O’Regan and Ron Crowe.
