Our annual MacLeod Lorway Ladies Valentines FUNspiel has come to an end…. with 9 teams entered including a team from the Highlander club the spiel came down to 3 teams who went undefeated and so in the end a big congrats to Team Wright who with point total of 126 claimed the trophy. In 2nd place was Team Dobson with 117pts. 3rd place was Team Jamieson with 114pts. In 4th place was Team Connolly with 61pts. Closest to the Pin winner was Sarah Fenn whose rock landed right on the pin. Hog line winner was Cathy MacDonald. A big thank you goes out to our major sponsor MacLeod Lorway. Other sponsors were Mary Kay Cosmetics, Robins Donuts, Cutting Loose Hair Design, Home Hardware and Guysborough PharmaChoice. Thanks to our volunteers who made this event a success: Maurice and Mary K. Connolly on the bar, Gary and Phil in the kitchen, George, Maurice, and Phil on the ice prep, and Mary E.A. Our MacLeod Lorway Ladies Valentines FUNspiel is set to go starting tonight at 6pm. Pray the weather gets better. Here is the schedule and lineup for the weekend. We welcome a team from the Highlander club in St. Andrew’s. That makes it 9 teams, up from 7 last year.
Our annual MacLeod Lorway Ladies Valentines FUNspiel is happening this year on Feb. 10th and 11th. The bonspiel is open to all members and anyone else that wants to sign up as a team or individual. Fee is $80 a team for 3 six end games. See poster below for more details.
