Results from Edgar Sceles Memorial

Here are the results from our annual Edgar Sceles Memorial bonspiel. Thanks go out to Breanne and the bonspiel committee for getting 8 teams together for the weekend. Also thanks to Nancy and the Kitchen committee and all who donated food for lunch and supper. The bonspiel format had four teams in 2 divisions. In the ‘A’ division finishing in 1st place with 3 wins was Team Luddington. Second place went to Team Lombardo with a 2-1 record. In the ‘B’ division it was Team G. Jamieson finishing in 1st place with 3 wins. Second place went to Team Long with a 1-2 record. In fact there was three teams with identical records but Team Long won by 10pts over Team O’Regan. In the championship game Team Luddington came out on top over Team G. Jamieson to claim the trophy and some money that was provided to the club by the Sceles family. In the 3-4 game it was Team Long over Team Lombardo. We had a special person drawing the winning tickets for the donated prizes. Young James Thorpe with the help of his mother, Jessica drew all of the prize tickets. We also like to thank Reid Jamieson, who generously donated his time, to entertain us for the night. A small but lively crowd danced the night away. Next up is the ladies bonspiel on Feb 14 and 15.
