At noon today the Day League had their semi-final game with Team O’Leary (skipped by George Luddington) beating Team G. Jamieson in 6 ends. So Team O’Leary will now play in the final Championship game tomorrow at 10am vs Team E. Jamieson. Also tomorrow is the Thursday Night Leaguye Championship with Team Luddington vs Team Cunningham at 7pm.

This Saturday, the 5th at approximately 7:00ish , will be the final 50/50 draw of this curling season. Please continue to support this major fund raising by buying and/or selling tickets. Tickets are still available at the bar and those already sold can be left at the bar.

The Closing Spiel is also this weekend. Central Home Improvements has given the Club 4 x $50.00, 4 x $40.00, 4 x$30.00 and 1 x $20.00 certificates as the top three team prizes. A great turkey dinner is organized and is free to the registered curlers in this weekend’s Junior Sceles Memorial Closing Spiel. We who are not curling will be able to purchase a dinner dinner for a reasonable price. The Saturday lunch will be hamburgers prepared by Chef Phillip; they too will be at a very reasonable price.

Curling tonight has been cancelled due to the bad weather. Not looking good out there. Possible new dates are Sunday at 1:30 or next Wed at 7pm. We will keep you posted.

The Day League playoffs began today with Team E. Jamieson beating Team O’Leary for a spot in Thursday’s final, which will start at 10am. The other game today saw Team G. Jamieson beating Team J. Jamieson in the 3 vs 4 game. They now advance to the semi final vs Team O’Leary which will be played this Wednesday April 2nd at 12 noon. The winner of this game advances to the final on Thursday. Also note that both the Tuesday and Thursday Night League championships are happening at 7pm both nights. Tues has Team Sangster vs Team Brymer. Thursday has Team Luddington vs Team Cunningham. And finally we have our closing bonspiel (Jr. Sceles Memorial) this weekend. So far we have 5 teams signed up.
