Club Updates
Ladies Spiel update
Our Ladies Spiel will start games on Sat with the 1st draw at 9am. Last draw is at 4:30 with supper starting at 6pm. Eight teams are entered for this years spiel. Thanks go out to Paula, Shauna and Lois for getting these teams together and draw times made up.
50/50 draw postponed to Mar. 1/2013
Due to curling being cancelled last Monday’s because of the weather we have put fewer 50/50 tickets out into the community. In addition, with the Ladies Funspiel starting
tomorrow (Sat) at 9:00, we will not be able to sell tickets at the Club tonight. Toss into the decision-mix the fact that one of our main sellers is “under the weather” , sales will be lower this week than preferred. Therefore the next 50/50 draw will be at the Club next Friday, March 1, at 8:00 PM. (Our lottery license states that we draw for the winner on Friday nights.) I’ll still go out this afternoon to collect sold tickets and money from the various 50/50 sale locations. The Club is pleased to announce and to thank Guysborough Discount and Gift as another location to purchase 50/50 tickets.

Jeff Stoughton sweater up for grabs
At this weekend’s Ladies Spiel the Club will be selling tickets on a Jeff Stoughton Grand Slam
curling jersey personally autographed by Canadian curling champion Jeff Stoughton. We are pleased to have had the jersey donated to the club via Marie by Allan Park, Manitoba.
So as to display the jersey, Mark’s Work Warehouse, Antigonish, kindly loaned the Club a torso mannequin to enable us to position the jersey for all to see, to admire and to attempt to win (we hope).
Should you wish to purchase tickets and cannot attend, buy your tickets via a lady curler so she can be
present at the ladies Saturday evening meal for the drawing of the winning ticket. Tickets are only $2.00 each or an arm’s length for $5.00.
