Duckie race results

Hi All:
At 11 AM this morning 1250 ducks took the plunge into the brook to see which one would become this years top swimmer.

The following were the top 3 finishers and the names of their sponsors:
First place-    #550  Wayne Sangster  Prize  $500.00
Second place-    #24 Dawn Wright   $300.00
Third place-   #508 Leona Purcell    $100.00

Although there wasn’t a huge crowd of onlookers the race worked out great.   We would like to thank all those who sold tickets and or bought tickets.  I personally want to thank Holly and Maureen for heading up this very successful but time consuming event.
At the end of the day the clubs profit was  $4180.00.

Thanks Maurice

Ducky race update…

Hi All;  It’s amazing how things  can change over a few days.  Last week we were worried that there may not be enough water in the brook for the ducks to swim, today we’re worrying about them drowning.  The best race time for tomorrow I think will be at 11:00 AM. The tide will be low.  All are welcome to attend the race of course but we are also looking for a few sure footed individuals to help launch the ducks and retrieve them again at the finish line. We did manage to find sponsors for all 1250 ducks.
In closing, if you are able to help with the race could you let me know.

Thanks,
Maurice
