Jeff Stoughton sweater up for grabs
At this weekend’s Ladies Spiel the Club will be selling tickets on a Jeff Stoughton Grand Slam
curling jersey personally autographed by Canadian curling champion Jeff Stoughton. We are pleased to have had the jersey donated to the club via Marie by Allan Park, Manitoba.
So as to display the jersey, Mark’s Work Warehouse, Antigonish, kindly loaned the Club a torso mannequin to enable us to position the jersey for all to see, to admire and to attempt to win (we hope).
Should you wish to purchase tickets and cannot attend, buy your tickets via a lady curler so she can be
present at the ladies Saturday evening meal for the drawing of the winning ticket. Tickets are only $2.00 each or an arm’s length for $5.00.
Day Curling cancelled Feb. 18th
Since all schools are cancelled today Feb 18th the Day curling games are also cancelled. See you again on Thursday morning.
50/50 Draw winner – Feb15th
Congratulations to John Teasdale, Heatherton, for being the February 15 winner of CAS’s weekly 50/50 draw. John’s purchased his winning ticket — worth $300.00 — from Paulette Bennett and Jennifer Stepton while the gals were located at the Petro-Canada, Monastery . Thank you to all who bought tickets — and to those involved in the selling of the 50/50 tickets.
The next drawing of a Chedabucto CC 50/50 draw ticket will happen Friday, February 22, at the Club at 8:00 PM.
Reminder: 50/50 draw tonight
Don’t forget the 50/50 draw tonight at the club at 8:00. If you wish to purchase tickets: contact a club member, or come to the club, buy tickets at Gerard Hart’s Grocery Store, Cook’s Gas Bar & Robins, Cutting Loose Hair Design & Tanning, Chedabucto Home Hardware, Days Gone By Bakery, or Guysborough Pharmacy. (CAS sincerely thanks the before-mentioned businesses for their support with ticket sales.) The Club will be open on Friday by 7:30 PM to get a tad of heat circulating before the 8:00 PM drawing.
Stop by for fellowship, tea or coffee or maybe a wee nip on a winter’s evening. It is always a treat to have company during the draw for conversation, tea/coffee, a nip or to separate tickets or count money.
All assistants will be welcome!
