My congratulations and thank you to Darlene Dort, Halifax, for being the March 25 winner of the Chedabucto Curling Club Community Activity Society’s (CAS) 50/50 draw.  Darlene bought her winning ticket — worth $320.00 — from either Jenna or Vanessa Dort, both junior curlers. Darlene’s ticket was drawn randomly by Junior curler Ryan Sangster.

My thank you also goes to AA Munro Insurance, Antigonish, for sponsoring the pizza incentives to the junior curlers for their efforts to sell 50/50 tickets on behalf of the Chedabucto Curling Club.

50/50 draw with Ryan Sangster and Ray Bates

Our annual Memorial Closing bonspiel will be happening this year on April 13th and 14th. All games will be 4 end games with each team playing 4 games in total. Try your best to recruit a new curler or more per team. Poster to follow.

Our next 50/50 draw will be this weekend at the conclusion of the Skin’s Bonspiel.

Please make certain to have your sold tickets to the rink either this Friday night or Saturday daytime. They may be left at the bar with whomever is tending bar.

The prize as of today is $200.00 with more to come.

Tickets can be purchased at the Club’s bar.

Here is the schedule and team list for this weekends ExxonMobil and Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline Skins Cash spiel. I would like to publicly thank Ray Bates for taking on the 8 team for this bonspiel. Hard to schedule with only 7 teams. Thank you Ray and your teammates for taking part. Take note there will be entertainment provided by Greg Favaro and Jason Wright on Friday night from 8-11. Snacks on Friday night, muffins etc on Sat morning for $1, Lunch is soup or chili plus a roll for $4.00 and snacks for around dinner time. Cash bar as always.
