Chedabucto CC expansion and renovation donations to be held in trust…
The Chedabucto Curling Club Community Activity Society’s (CAS) Executive has established a stand-alone bank account for the monies donated to assist with the cost of a planned capital expansion and renovation of CAS’s building. That newly established bank account will only hold the moneys intended for CAS’s facility’s expansion and renovation and is located at the Royal Bank of Canada’s Guysborough branch.
CAS has had a document drafted by Boudrotrodgers Law Offices, Main Street, Antigonish, that will be used to deal with moneys donated to CAS for the expansion and renovations improvement. That document will be signed by two of CAS’s Executive Committee and will state that the moneys donated to CAS for the expansion and renovation will be held in trust and will be used for the proposed expansion and renovation. The donated moneys will not go into CAS’s general revenue. If the planned improvements to CAS’s facility never happen — CAS will return in its entirety the donated moneys to its donor or to its donor’s estate.
