Our 16th featured sponsors of the week to begin the 2021_22 season for Mar. 7-13 are Ron MacGillivray Accounting Services, RBC Guysborough, and NAPA (Antigonish). Please note that our club is back open. Please acknowledge & thank the sponsors when you might happen to visit their business.

The Chedabucto Curling Club Community Activity Society (CAS) appreciates all who provide sponsorship to its society by allowing it to display and promote their businesses’ promotional signs to all of its members via email, within the rink, via Twitter, Facebook and CAS’s website: (https://www.chedabuctocc.ca/sponsors)

To continue to promote and support your business, CAS will now post sponsorship signs throughout the entire year. On behalf of the CCC Executive, members and volunteers, I thank you for your continued support.

No Edgar Sceles this weekend…

So, it looks like we will not be able to have the Edgar Sceles this weekend. But if you are still interested in curling we have a solution. With the Brier on this weekend why don’t we open up the club and play some games. Friday night at 7pm if you want, we can form some teams and play some 4 end games then sit down and watch the 8:30 game on TSN. On Saturday come back around 1pm and depending on numbers play some Mixed Doubles games and/or some more 4 end games and then watch the 3:30 game on TSN. Cost to play at any time is a one time $10 fee for both days. Bar will be open. If you are not interested please let us know. Or if you can only do one day also let us know.

Skins Cash Bonspiel…

A poster and sign up sheet are now at the club for our annual Skins Cash bonspiel. For those of you who are not familiar with this style of curling it is different and the championship game you are playing for money. This year again we have three sponsors (Mulgrave Machine Works, Scotia Diesel, and Ron Chisholm Hydroseed) who are donating $250 each plus a new one, Scotia Hill Farm also at $250. The format of this year is for made up teams since we will now be able to have out of club curlers. There will be 2 divisions of teams. An ‘A’ division playing 8 end games and a ‘B’ division playing 6 end games. Fee will be $140 for ‘A’ teams and $100 for ‘B’ teams. Prize money TBA later. Date of this spiel is Mar. 18-20. Final date to register a team is Mar. 16th. Individual signup is also there. Pass the word around to your friends and family for this one.
