With much laughter and a great deal of socialization the Chedabucto Curling Club had its annual turkey shoot last evening. As 32 curling stones were fired at each frozen bird, the turkey made its way around the ice depending on how many times it was hit — whether by skill or by luck. After determining which stone was the closest to the bird at the end of each game, the turkey went with that stone’s owner. Thank you to all who participated and to the viewing audience. Also a sincere thanks to those volunteers who made the evening possible. Last but not least — thank you to the turkeys for making the supreme sacrifice.
