Guess what? Curling is right around the corner 🙂
We are looking forward to the upcoming season and we are excited to get started with our new business structure.
Part of our acquisition of Codiac Curling Supplies is that we are now the distributor for Atlantic Canada for Canada Curling Stone. You can place orders for all of your rink equipment needs through us. I visited Canada Curling Stone in the summer and learned a lot about rink supplies over the course of two days. We will continue to build our knowledge base in this area.
We are working on adding a wholesale login to our website www.thecurlingstore.com so that you can place your club orders online if you would like. We are hoping to have it ready close to the start of the curling season. Depending upon your preference you will be able to place orders online, over the phone or via email. Sometimes we are busy at the shop with customers and can’t get the phone right away. If you can’t get through, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we have a moment.
Attached is the Goldline e-Catalog, the Goldline price-list, and our own Curling Store price-list. Goldline has offered a free gripper with every pair of shoes purchased prior to September 1. We will extend that to your first order of the year. The larger the order the bigger the benefit. You can use the free gripper to increase your profit margin or include them as part of an early season special if you buy shoes and a broom together or something like that.
Our product offering is a little bit different than what Codiac offered as their primary supplier was Asham. Our primary suppliers are Goldline, and BalancePlus and you will get the best price on those supplier products. Our product line is larger than what Codiac’s was so hopefully that will offer more product options to club members.
Our official open date is Saturday September 7 but we will be working in the store in the weeks leading up to that. Scraper and Nipper Blade deliveries with be Aug 19-21 for PEI and NB and Aug 26-28 for NS. We will contact each customer with appointment times for drop off.

A note on Wholesale Pricing:
Wholesale pricing is to be used by Club/Pro Shop Manager’s or an assigned Club representative. Our goal with wholesale pricing is to assist in generating revenue for curling clubs to support ongoing operations. Customers who are serviced in our store are not eligible for Wholesale pricing. If your customers wish to view product at The Curling Store in store or online and order from you, that is not a problem, but the order needs to come from you or the assigned representative at your club. The customer cannot leave our store with the product on the day they visit and we will not discuss our wholesale pricing program as it is up to each club to set their own prices. We are able to offer discounted pricing to clubs as the orders are generally larger, can be packed during non peak times, and we are not servicing the customer. Please set customer expectations appropriately to avoid any confusion.
