Your curling club NEEDS your help….

Our annual Ducky Race will be held this year on Sat. Sept. 12th. See the following email from Ray below: as usual the race is tide dependant.

Our curling club’s annual duckie race is scheduled for Sept 12 due to COVID-19.  (no chicken BBQ this year). Duckie race tickets are being distributed to members with emphasis that all duckie race tickets must be sold. The curling club needs your assistance more that ever due to its dire financial needs because of COVID-19.

What is going to happen this curling season is still anyone’s guess and will be dependent on the NS Health Authorities’ directions. What is a harsh reality is that the Chedabucto CC’s bills do exist. Some examples: insurance ($6930 – now on monthly payments), taxes ($1422.22 – still owed), Nova Scotia Power ($14,373.29 – based on last season), owed to RBC for ice scraper ($3500 with interest being added), and the list could continue.

To enable the sold tickets to be recorded TICKETS must be returned by August 29. Tickets may be left at Kay’s or Maurice’s or mailed to either. Also, if you do not receive tickets please contact Kay or Maurice for some of their extras.
