Mixed Doubles league to start soon…

Mixed Doubles will be on Wednesday evenings beginning November 16th at 7:00 p.m.  Anyone who wants to play, please message Gary Neufeld by text (902-817-1679) or email garyneufeldhwc@gmail.com

No previous experience is necessary and there will be opportunities to practice/learn (see above contact information).   Anyone who wants to know a little about the game, check out this site: pastedGraphic.png

Although mixed doubles is traditionally a male/female team, we have not insisted on that format.  The goal is to get enough teams together to enjoy the game.  It is a faster paced game and also shorter in time.  Your method of delivery (slide/stick) is not a barrier to playing.

Curling season starts this week…

Hope I didn’t catch you all off guard with the subject title.  Yes the ice will be ready by Tuesday night and yes we will be holding an open house this coming week on Thursday October 27th from 7- 10 pm..  Anyone wishing to stretch their legs and throw a few stones are welcome to come.  The bar will be open for refreshments and we encourage anyone who knows of any new comers to the community to bring them along and to see what we have to offer.
On another topic,  I know most of you have been in contact with Phil or Gerry/Neil in regards to league play but maybe have not registered yet.  It is important that you get this done.  You will be able to do this Thursday night during the open house.

Any questions give me a shout,
Maurice
