Congratulations to Donna MacDonald, Guysborough, for being the February 15 winner of CAS’s 50/50 draw.  Donna’s winning ticket was worth $119.00  (Thanks to all who purchased  — and to those involved in selling — 50/50 tickets.)

With the wish to have larger winnings, CAS will occasionally be conducting the draws after a couple weeks of selling.  The tentative date for our next draw is February 28.

Paula just texted me to say they lost their semi-final game at the Highlander Cash Spiel this morning but were happy they finished 3rd out of 12 teams and all games were against men. Good tune-up for the Dominion Provincial Championships in two weeks time.

Our return match with the Highlander Club started out slow but the momentum picked up and by the end of the day our 6 teams had taken hold of the trophy. Good day of curling by all. Thanks to the Highlander Club for a great lunch and morning refreshments. See you again next year.
