This weekend Team Dobson will compete in the 5th Annual Highlander Club Cash Spiel (http://www.highlandercurlingclub.com/). Also playing in the spiel is a former club member, Nick Deagle, who has his own team curling out of Bridgewater. Team Deagle and Team Dobson will play each other on Saturday at 1:20pm. Other draw times for Team Dobson are Friday night at 6:45pm and Saturday at 9:00am and 5:45pm. Playoffs on Sunday.

Just a reminder that this Saturday is out Ladies Valentines Funspiel at the club. So far only 4 teams have entered. We are looking for more players. It would be nice to have at least 6 teams. Lots of prizes are available. Pass the word around and if anyone is interested please call Paula at 533-2300 or Lois at 533-2447. There is a sign-up sheet at the club also.

Our 6 Day league teams will be heading to St. Andrews on Wed. Feb. 12th to play some games vs the Highlander club. The series is tied at 91 pts apiece. Draw at 9:30 am has Team G. Jamieson, Team E. Jamieson, and Team Hart playing while the 11am draw has Team Armstrong, Team O’Leary, and Team J. Jamieson. The third and 4th draws are 12:30pm and 2pm. Good luck to all curlers.

Cape Breton-Canso, has offered to provide the first-place prizes for the Chedabucto Curling Club’s Ladies Valentines Funspiel being held on February 14/15 in Boylston. Rodger has agreed to provide the first-place team with a dinner at the DesBarres Manor Inn, Guysborough, at a yet-to-be-determined date and time.
