Day curling to start this Thursday at 9:30am and a draw at noon hour. The Night League also starts on Thursday at 7pm. Please note the Ice 1 walkway has some icy patches and the walkway down by the scoreboard has ice from the ceiling drips… be careful where you walk….

If you would like to share your knowledge and love of curling with youth from all over the world, then here is your chance:
The Nova Scotia International Students Program (NSISP) allows young people from all over the world to experience school and culture in various areas of our province. Several are being hosted in our school board region, and we try to provide typical ‘Canadian’ experiences.
In that fashion, on Saturday, November 5th, there will be approximately 40 students from several different countries coming to CCC to experience an afternoon of curling; I need some club members willing to help with the on-ice instruction for a few hours (1 to 4 PM). Donalda Mattie has agreed to be there, so our roles would be to help with reducing the ratio of students to supervisors on the ice. Many of the students will be experiencing curling for the first time, so this is a real opportunity to help promote the sport with possible INTERNATIONAL ramifications! Night league to start on Thursday Nov. 3rd….
The Night league schedule with 8 teams will start on Thursday Nov. 3rd…. skips will contact you soon… we have yet to finalize the teams and schedule but they will be ready very soon. The Day league will also start on Thursday… there will be ice available on Tuesday night Nov. 1st from 7 until 8pm if anyone wants to come out and throw some rocks….
Adult registration sheets 2016-2017….
Our curling rink’s 2016 – 2017 curling registration sheet is attached as a link below this message. If you were not at the semi-AGM and/or still need to complete your registration sheet, please do so ASAP. We do not maintain last year’s curling registration sheets so as to be certain that your contact and emergency information is up to date. As approved at last week’s semi-AGM, the CCC yearly dues have increased slightly; the new amounts are indicated on the attached registration sheet. It is our club’s policy that registration fees must be paid in full or at least by 1/2 before you play your first game. So as to assist with the issuing of receipts, please present your dues payment to Treasurer Holly Nahrebecky.

Semi-Annual Meeting plus Open House/Registration Night…..
Just a reminder of our Semi-Annual Meeting happening on Tuesday Oct. 25th starting at 6:30. Topics to be discussed are the proposed increase in annual dues, a $$$ amount from Ted Sceles to help with our renovations, and the Junior program. The Open House/Registration will follow after the meeting until 9pm. We hope to have the ice ready for you to go on but if not then the next day.
