Today we had our awarding of Big G’s large pizzas to two of our Junior curlers for their successes with the selling of the rink’s 50/50 tickets. The pizzas are being donated to Chedabucto’s Junior League by AA Munro Insurance, Antigonish.  The Junior to receive a large pizza for selling the most tickets was Aidan Halloran.  The Junior to receive the second pizza via the random draw involving all the other Juniors who today submitted money and tickets was Cody Carter. My advance thanks goes to the Juniors, their parents, families, neighbours and friends who assisted with the selling of the 50/50 tickets — and also to AA Munro Insurance for making our awarding of pizzas possible. Our next 50/50 draw will be this Saturday, February 21.

Both of our competitive teams are in action at the end of this month. First up is Team Sangster in the NS Provincial Senior Curling Championships, Feb 20th-24th/2015 in Shelburne, NS. His teammates in fact are from the Truro CC but Wayne of course curls out of our club.

The next Chedabucto CC 50/50 draw will be this Saturday, Feb 21, at approximately 7:00 PM.  Today I will be helping with the Juniors and collect their sold tickets.

Tomorrow I am not curling in our afternoon game but will be there for morning tea to receive the tickets sold by members. I might be feeling under the weather due to my darn cold but tea is good. 🙂

Betty will receive any sold tickets that come in from the afternoon game’s players.

This weekend is a rental at the rink. Blair Brymer is to be thanked for renting the rink on behalf of his workplace for a day of curling.  We are also offering Blair’s group burgers / sausages at lunch and serving them turkey dinners at suppertime.  Again — our volunteers are making this fun raiser for Chedabucto CC happen.
