50/50 tickets sales via Junior members…..

As is a common situation, fund-raising efforts almost always need assistance; such is the case with 50/50 tickets being one of the Chedabucto rink’s revenue efforts.

The hope is that, with all the contacts each Junior (parents) has via relatives, co-workers, friends, neighbours, etc., the voluntary sales of tickets by the Juniors will increase the dollar amounts of each 50/50 draw so as to attract more buyers to the curling rink’s 50/50 tickets.

Starting this Wednesday (Jan. 21) — with the exception of our two international guests (Emilly and Ayumi) — each Junior curler will be assigned two books as his/her task to hopefully sell.  On the next Wednesday (Jan. 28) I will collect whatever tickets that have been sold and also the $2.00 per-sold ticket.  When the two books are sold we will issue two more books and so on until the end of this curling season.

The curling rink’s next 50/50 draw is planned for February 7th.

Thank you for your hoped-for assistance.

Diane Tulk wins curling rink’s Jan 17th 50/50 draw….

Congratulations to Diane Tulk, Guysborough , for being the January 17 winner of the Chedabucto Curling Club Community Activity Society’s (CAS) 50/50 draw.  Diane ( a social member of CAS) bought her winning ticket — worth $210.00 — at the curling rink.  (Thank you to all who bought 50/50 tickets — and to those involved in their selling.)

If you wish to purchase or to sell tickets: contact a club member, come to the curling rink, or buy tickets at Cutting Loose Hair Design & Tanning, Guysborough Pharmacy, Cook’s Gas Bar & Robin’s, Hart’s Grocery Store,  Chedabucto Home Hardware, Guysborough Discount & Gifts or in February at Days Gone By Bakery & Restaurant (closed until February 8). CAS sincerely thanks the before-mentioned businesses for their continued support. (The businesses’ sold-tickets are collected on Saturdays.)

With the intention to have richer prizes, CAS will  be drawing the winning 50/50 ticket on Saturdays but will occasionally be doing the selection after several weeks of selling. The next draw is planned to happen on February 7th during CAS’s Skins Bonspiel. You can refer to the curling rink’s website for updates on draws and the names of winners: http://www.chedabuctocc.ca/5050-draw
