50/50 draw December 20 and Quality Street Chocolate Shoot….
So as to increase the winnings for the next 50/50 draw the Club will hold that winning ticket’s selection on Friday, December 20th, at 8:00 PM. Since the Club will be open for the 50/50 draw the plan is to have another relaxing event that will generate entertainment and socialization from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
After much positive feedback from last week’s turkey shoot, on December 20, the Club will host a “Quality Street Chocolate Shoot”. The Club has purchased 4 large tins of Quality Street chocolates as the prizes for the 4 shoots. The actual target will be a frozen turkey since it has bounce and slide-ability. The closest stone to the bird will be the winner of a big tin of yummy chocolates. People can shoot via sliding or stick delivery — whatever works.
At the end of the evening’s shoots the name of a shooter will be drawn from a hat and that lucky person gets the turkey. The turkey will bean extra prize that’s symbolic of the Club’s spirit of Christmas. Four tins and five prizes — ya gotta luv it!
Of course guests are always welcome. If the members agree we can consider also adding the names of guests into the hat as complementary entrants.
Please spread the word regarding the 50/50 and the 4 chocolate shoots. A great turnout — besides being appreciated — provides encouraging support to the volunteers who make such gatherings happen.
Recyclables no longer at Chedabucto CC lot
Effective immediately, recyclables will no longer be collected at the Club’s parking lot. Decoste Recyclables, Tracadie, is seeking another location within our area.
Registration forms for this season need to be filled in….
There are many 2013 /14 registration forms still outstanding. Of our 53 +/- members we have only 26 forms in the emergency-instruction binder.
Last year’s forms are not in the binder for the simple reason that they were not current regarding date and information.
The registration forms are very important to the Club’s operations as well as its possible liabilities. If you don’t help the club to have vital information the Club is possibly being stifled to a major degree with assisting your well being.
The intent of the forms is to tell us immediately and clearly what needs to be done should something happen to you, who to contact and also to instruct us with what to tell emergency responders. The forms provide supplementary information like your accurate and up-to-date contact information plus other relevant information such as members’ ages should that be necessary with grant applications.
The end section regarding volunteerism is only there for those who are able to volunteer; it does not need to be completed — but whatever extra that you can do is sincerely appreciated.
Forms are hanging within an envelope by the door to Ice 1. If still necessary, please complete yours ASAP and insert it into the appropriate section of the emergency binder located on top of the kitchen’s fridge.
Thank you and forgive me for being a pest but these vital forms have been in the club for over a month awaiting your attention.
Cheers
Ray
