Our 7th featured sponsors of the week to begin the 2021_22 season for Dec 13-19 are Guysborough District Fish & Game Association, Gateway Hyundai, and G.O.A.L.S..

The Chedabucto Curling Club Community Activity Society (CAS) appreciates all who provide sponsorship to its society by allowing it to display and promote their businesses’ promotional signs to all of its members via email, within the rink, via Twitter, Facebook and CAS’s website: (https://www.chedabuctocc.ca/sponsors)

To continue to promote and support your business, CAS will now post sponsorship signs throughout the entire year. On behalf of the CCC Executive, members and volunteers, I thank you for your continued support.

Curling Club closed until further notice…

Hi all:  As the result of the upswing of Covid 19 cases in the area and especially with the introduction of the omicron variant, it has been decided by the board to close the club effective midnight tonight.  The last thing we need is to have cases at the club resulting in having sick members, our friends and relatives.  Christmas is time for family and I’m sure no one wants to ruin it for anyone.  Trust me, the club will reopen as soon as it is safe.
This email is going out to all members, however perhaps each skip can contact their team members.  I would hate to have someone show up and find the doors locked and lights off.
In closing, the board of directors wish everyone happy holidays and thank you for your understanding on this difficult decision.  As Ruth Gunn said in her most resent email to me (Act now to be safe, not sorry).

Santa Shoot cancelled tonight…

Hello All: Please be advised that tonight’s Santa Shoot event at the curling club has been cancelled due to recent Covid concerns. We all felt it is better to be safe then sorry. We hope to partner with MODG maybe later in the winter to do something at the club.
Please stay safe,
Maurice

Turkey Shoot reminder plus Santa Shoot…

Hi All,  Curling season has been up and running for more then a month and everything seems to be going well.  We have welcomed several new members to both day and night leagues which is fantastic.  A couple of reminders:
**  This Saturday night starting at 7pm we will holding our annual Turkey shoot.  (See poster attached)  Everyone is welcome to attend and we ask that very clean footwear be worn out on the ice surface.

**  Next Friday night Dec. 10th at 7pm we will hosting an open house for the MODG as part of their 12 nights of Christmas (poster attached).  There will be prizes, hot chocolate, Santa shoots, draw to the button, etc..  We would like to see as many members as possible out to this event.  It still amazes me how many citizens of our community have never been to our club.  This will give us a great chance to possibility get a few new members or at least show our community where their greatly appreciated financial support has gone.

That’s it for now,
Maurice
