Results of the AGM held last night at the club….

At last evening’s AGM the CAS membership voted to approve that the Club’s executive remain as is for the 2013 – 2014 year.  On behalf of the CAS Executive: Thank you for the trust and confidence.
As part of that meeting the attached was circulated as an overview of all that the Club accomplished over the past 12 months. It was a very busy and productive year:

Thank you to CAS’s Executive, Members and Supporters for all done since CAS’s 2012 AGM.

Happenings (in random order) over the past 12 months:

–        Siding, insulation, vents, skirting and eve-troughs installed

–        Kitchen window replaced

–        Jim Drysdale’s donation

–        Migration of property deed to encompass the Gordon Pyle donated land

–        Counter tops installed and kitchen flooring nearing completion

–        Washrooms groomed. Painted and replaced lights, taps and faucets. Piping updated.

–        Three snow guards in lieu of entrance and cricket roof (to be installed)

–        Ice nipper with sheepskin attachment purchased

–        Food handling course with Royal Canadian Legion (42 +/_ participants)

–        Jim Drysdale’s committal service

–        New sign on building

–        Fishing Derby BBQ food sales

–        50/50 draws with support via community businesses’ locations

–        Dehumidifier mortgage ($10,000 grant from NS Health and Wellness)

–        New stove and range hood purchased

–        Chicken BBQ / Ducky race

–        2 TV monitors and 2 cameras installed (paid via Jim Drysdale’s donation)

–        New ice pebbler  (MODG purchase)

–        Website development (NS Health and Wellness — grant re total cost pending)

–        3 electric wall clocks installed (Floss Bottle Recyclable donation)

–        Club TV purchased

–        Garbage pickup box purchased

–        Floss Bottle Recyclable / community use of yard (individual donations invited)

–        Club’s logo and pin redone to appear on web site (www.chedabuctocc.ca )

–        Molson Open Spiel (supported by Molson)

–        Ladies Valentines Fun Spiel (supported by MacLeod Norway Group)

–        ExxonMobil/ Maritimes&Northeast Pipeline Skins (supported by namesake)

–        Sceles Memorial Spiel (supported by Sceles Realty & Central)

–        Highlander CC Seniors versus Chedabucto CC Seniors (2x’s)

–        Port Hawkesbury CC Seniors versus Chedabucto CC Seniors

The next event at the Club will be the annual lobster dinner on May 25.  Stay tuned as information gets finalized and circulated.
