I am very pleased to acknowledge the two Chedabucto CC volunteers who will be attending the MODG’s Volunteer Recognition Ceremony in Larry’s River on April 21.
On behalf of the Club’s general membership, the Club’s executive has submitted Maurice Landry as our member to be recognized for his volunteering to assist all of us as we enjoy our wonderful facility.
Maurice has been extremely active within the Chedabucto Curling Club since he and Maureen moved into our community a couple of years ago.
Maurice has also been front and centre as the chairperson of our Club’s Renovation/Expansion Committee. Maurice’s ordering of construction materials and wise counsel have been a tremendous asset during the project’s planning and actual construction.
On behalf of the Junior Curling Program, Donna Dort, mother of junior curlers Jenna and Vanessa, has been recognized by the executive. Donna has been a continuous fixture at the junior curling sessions over the years that her daughters have been junior curling members. Donna also transports juniors to curling events — and — ensures that her girls have and sell the Club’s 50/50 tickets.
