August 5 is the big day for our major fund-raising: Chicken BBQ, duckie race and stick pick with all funds going towards the yearly expenses of operating our curling rink ($31,000 plus).
Stick pick: All members are encouraged to donate at least two suitable items (valued each at $5.00 or higher) so they can be used as prizes for the stick picks. Executive members will be the contact for specific members thus those executive members will be available to receive your donated prizes and will likely be contacting you so we have all items gathered by July 27th so they can be numbered for the draws. Over the next couple of days I’ll send an email regarding what members are assigned to what executive.
Duckie Race Tickets: The duckie tickets are sorted and will be distributed to members this week. Please sell the ones that you receive so we can have a profitable return since we will be giving away three race prizes: 1st, $500; 2nd, $200 and 3rd, $100.
Chicken BBQ: August 5 at $15.00 per dinner with all being welcome to partake. Phil O’Regan will be taking advance chicken orders (902.863.8922 cell).
