Music Fundraiser for our club….

The music fundraiser for our club happened yesterday Jan. 27th at the Chedabucto Performance Centre. Thank you to Neil DeCoff for putting the music line-up together. I’ll attach some photos from yesterday. Photos were provided by Phil O’Regan and Chris West. Also thanks to all who helped out behind the scenes and of course the entertainers who donated their time and vocals to this event. Our 50/50 winner was Philip Connolly with a take home prize of $159. Philip kindly donated it back to the club.

Here are the results from our annual Edgar Sceles Memorial Bonspiel 2019…

Here are the results from our annual Edgar Sceles Memorial Bonspiel… after a 3 game round robin schedule the top four teams out of eight played in a 1 vs 2 and 3 vs 4 game to decide the champ and 3rd place. In the end Team Luddington won the trophy and donated sterling silver pins from the Sceles family. They beat Team Brymer for the hardware. In the 3 vs 4 game Team Long beat Team Connolly. Our closest to the pin winner was Junior curler Vanessa Dort who was 13.5″ from the pin. Our 1st 50/50 Draw winner, with help from Little Rocks curler Carly Sangster and President Ray Bates, was member Mary E. A. Connolly taking home $182.00. Thanks go out to the Sceles family for thier donated pins, to the MODG, CIBC, Robin’s Donuts, Maker Yer Own Wine & Beer, Big G’s, and MacDonald Chrysler for the donated prizes. Other prizes were bought by the club. Thank you Paul Long for picking those up. As always we like to thank all the members who donated food and their time to make this a great event for the club. I personally would like to thank Maurice Landry, Mary E. A. Connolly and Paul Long for helping me organize this event. Finally thank you to Neil DeCoff who played us some great tunes on Friday night.
